The image reflected in the mirror is, in my opinion, what the painter thinks the model sees when looking at herself. A central element is the face reflected in the mirror: its color, shape, stains (tears?). Picasso shows that the girl sees her feelings and defects, some real some imagined, some apparent, some hidden. This is a recurrent themes in the art of the first half of the 1900's, and something that Picasso may have taken from Matisse (see the stain the woman's face in The Conversation).
Part imagined, part real, the perceived image has a continuity in reality. The element that joins both real and reflected girl is the arm that intertwines with both images (something also found in The Conversation by Matisse).

"Girl in Front of a Mirror“ by Pablo Picasso
Based on a colourful design, this painting presents Picasso's vision on individuality and perception of oneself and others. “Joven Frente al Espejo” de Pablo Picasso
Basandose en un diseño sumamente colorido, esta obra presenta la visión de Picasso sobre la individualidad en la percepción del otro y de uno mismo. “La joven frete al espejo” como es vista por el pintor en sus rasgos mas salientes en la imagen de la izquierda, se ve a si misma reflejada en el espejo de la derecha.
La imagen reflejada en ese espejo es, en mi opinión, lo que el pintor cree que la modelo ve. Un elemento central es el rostro reflejado en el espejo, el color, la forma, las manchas. Picasso indica que la joven ve sus defectos, algunos reales otros imaginarios, unos visibles, otros ocultos. Este es un tema recurrente en la pintura de la época, y algo que creo que Picasso pudo haber tomado de Matisse (vea la mancha en la cara de la mujer en “La Conversacion”)
Parte imaginada, parte real, la imagen percibida tiene su continuidad en la realidad, el elemento que une ambas visiones es el brazo que se confunde y entrelaza con la imagen (algo tambien presente en “La Conversacion” de Matisse).
